The major in Biochemistry will prepare you for a variety of career opportunities in chemistry. Through a rigorous curriculum that includes biology and chemistry courses, you'll be prepared to enter the job market directly or to continue your education in a graduate or professional program.
WHY CHOOSE BIOCHEMISTRY?
As a major in Biochemistry at SRU, you'll take coursework designed to strengthen your understanding of organic, inorganic, analytical, physical, and biochemistry.
You'll take lecture and laboratory courses in modern facilities with small class sizes taught by faculty who are committed to individualized interaction. You'll conduct experiments that will give you experience with current synthetic and analytical techniques as well as opportunities to use a wide variety of instruments. Upon graduation, you'll be prepared for further postgraduate education and careers in industry, government, medicine and education.
The Biochemistry program at SRU will provide you with a strong background in chemistry as a result of the following:

As a major in Biochemistry, you will take courses in chemistry and biology to gain the foundation necessary for employment in biochemistry, pharmaceutical, and medical fields. Your coursework will include:

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) International applicants who have not enrolled in any post secondary institution since graduating high school should apply as freshmen. Advanced standing may be considered for those students who have completed IB programs, GCE A-levels (advanced or advanced subsidiary) examinations. English language requirements: Applicants must score a minimum of 61 on the internet based test (iBT), a minimum of 500 on the written test or a minimum of a 173 on the computer based test. Applicants must receive an overall IELTS score at band 6.0 or above.
