Are you curious about how things work? Do you like to be challenged? In partnership with Youngstown State University (YSU), SRU offers a dual-degree Pre-Engineering program. Through this program, you'll spend three years at each university-earning a BA in physics from SRU and a BS in engineering from YSU. In combination, these two degrees will expedite your engineering career.

There is a great demand for engineers in today's world, and students graduating with this degree are exceptionally successful in landing jobs. Through SRU's dual-degree program, you'll gain the advantage of two different educational experiences from two top universities learning from skilled faculty.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
In your three years at SRU, you'll learn the in-and-outs of physics and take pre-engineering electives based on your choice of the engineering field. In your three years at YSU, you'll be exposed to a hands-on, project-based curriculum as you earn your degree in engineering.

CAREERS IN PRE-ENGINEERING WITH YSU
Receiving both a physics degree and an engineering degree will give you an added advantage whether you are applying to graduate programs or seeking a job in the industry. Engineering careers are expected to grow by more than 10% in the next decade (according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics). With your dual degrees, you'll be strongly positioned to catch the eyes of employers in one of the highest-paying, fastest-growing industries in the country.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 International applicants who have not enrolled in any post secondary institution since graduating high school should apply as freshmen. Advanced standing may be considered for those students who have completed IB programs, GCE A-levels (advanced or advanced subsidiary) examinations. English language requirements: Applicants must score a minimum of 61 on the internet based test (iBT), a minimum of 500 on the written test or a minimum of a 173 on the computer based test. Applicants must receive an overall IELTS score at band 6.0 or above.
