We offer real-life surveying experiences that prepare you to become the complete professional.
Plan of Study
A minimum of 30 semester hours.
- 15-18 semester hours — civil engineering, engineering mechanics, and/or thesis-related courses selected from an area of concentration: engineering mechanics, environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, or water resources engineering.
- 6-9 semester hours — engineering or basic science electives from current course offerings. For concentration in engineering mechanics — select 6 semester hours of mathematics (MTH 535 and 551) and 6 semester hours of research on a civil engineering thesis (CEE 599). With student request and adviser or department chair approval — 6 thesis hours can replace 6 hours of coursework plus 3 hours of project (CEE 598).
