在這里學(xué)什么？
As a student in the Adolescence to Young Adult Education program at the University of Dayton, you'll prepare to teach grades 7-12 by pursuing in-depth study in your area of concentration.
Hands-on learning
You'll have unique access to Dayton Early College Academy, an innovative community school sponsored by Dayton Public Schools and operated by the University of Dayton. This demonstration school is in the same building as your Teacher Education classes (Fitz Hall). DECA's focus is preparing urban high school students to attend, and succeed, in college.
Program outcomes
You'll develop comprehensive knowledge of your specialized teaching field, while also developing your personal and professional commitment to teaching. The curriculum provides hands-on teaching and classroom observation opportunities (field experience) to prepare you for your own future classroom. You'll learn about the school’s role in society, and how your role as a teacher can change the future of education.

Complete all your teaching concentration courses before doing student teaching.

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): A minimum score of 70 on the Internet-based (iB) test is required for full admission. Please note that many majors require a minimum score of 80. International English Language Testing System (IELTS): A minimum overall band score of 6.0 is required for full admission. Please note that many majors require a minimum overall band score of 6.5. International Test of English Proficiency (iTEP). A minimum overall score of 4.0 is required for full admission. Please note that many majors require a minimum score of 4.5. Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE): A minimum score of 50 is required for full admission. Please note that many majors require a minimum score of 60.
