MIS brings together the various areas in business and information technology to focus on the process of providing the information necessary for making decisions and conducting business.

Program Outcomes
Our innovative MIS program is one of the best available as it combines strong business and technical components with real-world experiences. You’ll learn both theory and methodology, allowing you to analyze, design, implement and manage information systems in business settings.
To prepare you for the varied career paths within MIS, you may focus your studies on business intelligence, cyber security or opt for breadth in your choice of electives. Our innovative program integrates a specialization in information management with accounting, finance, marketing and operations to prepare you for today’s fast-paced business environment.
During a capstone, two-semester design project, you will gain hands-on project management experience with a Dayton-area firm. In addition to business and technical skills, this team project emphasizes client interaction, professional communication and organizational skills.
The School of Business Administration’s undergraduate and graduate programs are accredited by AACSB International — The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
