Electronics Technology is an applications-oriented major in applied mathematics and science, electronics principles, techniques, materials, and devices. Students acquire a management background that promotes advancement within their field. Graduates work as members of “engineering teams” in applied design, product development, installation, maintenance, manufacturing, production, or operations. They also may work in technical services, including field engineering, customer support, marketing, and sales. Graduates work in a variety of industries including manufacturing, utilities, and telecommunications. The program is accredited by Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering.
Learning Outcomes
- An ability to select and apply knowledge, techniques, skills, and modern tools in electronics technology.
- An ability to select and apply mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to electronics technology problems using principles, applied procedures and methodologies.
- An ability to conduct, analyze and interpret experiments, and apply experimental results to improve processes.
