Program Description
The Economics major offers students the opportunity to explore different views and approaches to economic questions and policies. Students gain insights into what motivates individuals to behave the way they do and how they interact with each other, particularly in business, finance, and in global economic exchanges. Students who intend to pursue careers in business, law, politics, public administration, and finance will benefit from studies in Economics; the program is particularly useful for students who are pursuing an MBA.
Learning Outcomes
- Graduates from the program should be knowledgeable about a wide-range of Macroeconomic and Microeconomic theory-Mathematical models
- Graduates from the program should be able to explain individual (consumers and firms) and aggregate behavior following economic tools of analysis
- Graduates from the program should be able to analyze, interpret, and explain Macroeconomic and Microeconomic data
