The School of Education offers three Bachelor of Science in education (B.S.E.) degrees, the B.S.E. in elementary education K-6, the B.S.E. in special education K-12, and the B.S.E. in middle childhood education grades 4-8, which includes specialties in math, science, social studies, and language arts. A minor in education is offered through the School of Education as well. The department strives to provide balanced teacher education programs that embody institutional and college goals, the Arkansas Department of Education teacher licensure requirements, guidelines of learned societies and professional associations, and contemporary educational philosophies and practices.
