在這里學(xué)什么？
These programs meet state guidelines for students who wish to teach in Middle School (MS) English, Language Arts, and Reading. Students in the Middle School English/Language Arts/Reading (4-8) program must meet all of the following department criteria in order to be approved to go into their internship semester. Students who fail to meet the department criteria will have to fulfill a department remediation plan before they can be approved for internship.
A “B” or higher grade in Secondary English TExES-designated classes: English 300, and 333.
No more than one “C” grade in any English, Reading, or Speech course.
A minimum GPA of 3.0 in the upper-level (300-400) courses in English, Reading, and Speech.
A THEA Reading Score of 250
B.A. IN ENGLISH/LANGUAGE ARTS/READING WITH MIDDLE SCHOOL (4-8) CERTIFICATION
Required courses in the major (33 semester hours):
Eng 202, 300, 301, 305, 323, 406, 432 or 434 or 444, 331, 333, 358; Spc 111.
Teacher Education courses:
MLEd 401, 402, 403, 404; MLEd 410 or ElEd 200; ElEd 4526; Rdg 370, 450.
Math and Science courses:
Math 350, 351; two courses from IS 351, IS 352, BSci 461, ESci 461, IS 451.
Support courses:
Psy 300, 310; SpEd 346; MLEd 314; 12 sh Foreign Language.

Other English Language Requirements: TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Required scores: 80 (Internet-based TOEFL), 550 (paper-based TOEFL) or 6.5 IELTS.
