在這里學(xué)什么?
Study the full range of human stages, from infancy to adolescence to the elderly, and explore family relationships that shape the individual. You'll gain a framework that empowers you to help others improve their quality of life. This interdisciplinary, human development major connects you with new knowledge in psychology, family therapy, anthropology, and other fields exploring the individual, and society.
What you'll study: "Life-Span Human Development" is one foundational course that captures the essence of the human development and family studies major. Investigate the earliest stages of life and the final stages leading to death-and everything in between. An application course challenges you to research or practice your talents in the community.
How you'll learn more: NSU's strong emphasis on comprehensive health care gives you a holistic and empathetic perspective. More than 20 NSU clinics serve the community's physical and mental health needs. You'll glean from a range of dedicated research programs, such as those for early childhood, substance abuse, and technology. Connect with current authors visiting campus, or become an author and present your research at NSU-and beyond.
Where it can take you: Social work, geriatric care, and counseling exemplify the type of work pursued by graduates with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies. Consider a graduate program and earn professional credentials in psychology, family therapy, or education. With the issues facing individuals at every stage of life, there is no shortage of work to be done.
