What could be more fascinating than matters of the mind? Focus your studies on the biology behind it. Examine brain circuitry and how it affects our thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. This program prepares you to enter biomedical research, pharmacy, and other vital aspects of medicine.
What you'll study: The anatomy of the brain is endlessly enthralling, and you'll investigate its connection to memory, sleep, perception, balance, and mental illness. After covering many of these fields, a demanding Senior Seminar in Behavioral Neuroscience ties together the major's multidisciplinary nature.
How you'll learn more: Our professors are experts in the related fields of biology, psychology, and chemistry. You’ll have the chance to study and work alongside them-and the college’s graduate students-in our labs and clinics. Your joint research could be presented at national conferences.
Where it can take you: As a graduate of this program, you're ready for advanced study of psychology, pharmacology, medicine, and neurobiology. With many choices ahead of you, career options include physician, researcher, cognitive or behavioral psychologist, audiologist, and speech or physical therapist.
