The College of Law echoes the core values of the University of La Verne: life-long learning, ethical reasoning, community engagement, and diversity and inclusivity. In fact, La Verne Law is one of the most diverse law schools in the country.
The Juris Doctor (JD) curriculum consists of 88 total semester units and takes three (3) years of full-time study to complete.
The first year of the JD curriculum incorporates values and skills for academic success into the foundational doctrinal courses: Contract Law, Civil Procedure, and Real Property. Each course provides instruction in doctrine and critical reading, case briefing, case synthesis, exam writing, course outlining, time management, and multiple-choice test-taking strategies.
In the second year, students focus on the development of both theoretical and practical legal skills. The two-semester sequence in Constitutional Law provides the theoretical foundation for the practice-based courses in the two second-year tracks. The Litigation Track incorporates Criminal Procedure, Evidence, and Trial Advocacy in the context of a simulated problem culminating in a simulated trial. The Transactional Track includes Business Organizations, Sales, Negotiations, and the Transactional Workshop all tethered to a simulated in a simulation that emphasizes business formations, document drafting, and negotiation.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. (Doctoral programs may also require a master’s degree.) A preferred GPA of 2.5 or above for the last 60 semester hours of undergraduate study, and a GPA of 3.0 for any graduate work. TOEFL - 80 iBT or higher; 550 - pBT or higher; IELTS - 6.5 overall band score or higher; ELS - Satisfactory completion of ELS – 112.
