Web development is still an important focus. The revisions reflect a growing need for our students to design interfaces and user experiences for an expanding array of products and technology platforms such as mobile apps, websites, smartwatches, home appliances, vehicle dashboard displays, desktop apps, augmented reality, and much more.
The new Interactive Design and Media (ID&M) concentration brings together design, human-technology interaction, digital media, and information technology. Design (a process of conceiving, planning, and making of products) is central to ID&M.
Through hands-on courses and with real-world clients, students:
- Design and prototype websites, mobile apps.
- Design interfaces and user experiences including locative media, wearable electronics, interactive narratives, extended or augmented reality.
- Evaluate usability.
- Create and optimize media.
- Apply design processes and standards.
- Create database-driven content.
- Develop interactive client-side web interfaces.

為來自中國的學生設計 To be considered for admission you must have graduated from a secondary school recognized as an acceptable equivalent to a U.S. high school and you must demonstrate a record of acceptable academic success. In general, undergraduate applicants are expected to obtain the U.S. equivalent of a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) for most majors. TOEFL iBT of 70 or above or IELTS of 6.0.
