The B.A. in English at Duquesne University provides an outstanding education in the liberal arts. Literary study, composition, and research skills are the bedrock of academic and professional excellence. Our students learn these skills in a program that offers them plenty of room to craft their degree around their interests. Upon graduation, students are prepared for a variety of career paths. Our students have gone on to:
- Attend Law School
- Attend Masters Programs in English and Creative Writing
- Work in the Private Sector
- Work for Non-Profits
Undergraduates can also major in English Education, Theater Arts, or pursue a Dual Major. They can minor in English, Film Studies, Creative Writing, or Theater Arts. We also offer an Accelerated Master's Program and many additional Student Opportunities.
The English Department offers a variety of exciting courses in literature, creative writing, and film studies.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) To be considered for admission you must have graduated from a secondary school recognized as an acceptable equivalent to a U.S. high school and you must demonstrate a record of acceptable academic success. In general, undergraduate applicants are expected to obtain the U.S. equivalent of a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) for most majors. TOEFL iBT of 70 or above or IELTS of 6.0.
