The Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology program is a two-year program designed to prepare students to be competitive candidates for psychology doctoral programs and to enhance students’ research skills by offering them a wide range of research experience from assisting faculty researchers to completing their own independent research projects. The program consists of a rigorous combination of classroom and research experiences.
The program provides limited clinical training and does not lead to licensure to practice at the master’s level.
Program Requirements
This program consists of 32 credits of required graduate-level clinical psychology courses, plus 12 elective credits. While a variety of electives are available in areas such as cognition, personality, advanced statistics, counseling, and development, we can assist in emphasizing electives that will allow you to complete an optional concentration in one of three areas: Assessment, Clinical/Counseling, or Cultural Diversity.
