A bachelor’s degree in music composition provides you with the opportunity to study with internationally recognized composers working across a wide variety of styles and media.
Degree concentrations include instrumental/vocal composition and sonic arts technology.
Compose alongside World-Renowned Faculty
Weekly seminars bring together student composers with the composition faculty. In your sophomore year, you’ll begin taking one-on-one lessons with a composition instructor and learn to write for traditional instruments in solo, chamber, and large ensemble settings, as well as create sound using computers and synthesizers. You’ll have the opportunity to present your compositions in public concerts every semester, and all of our students present senior recitals of their music.
