專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么?
Ball State's bachelor's degree in visual arts with an emphasis in printmaking covers four kinds of printmaking: intaglio, lithography, relief, and serigraphy. Courses in these techniques of printmaking present a basic understanding of the media as well as methods to take advantage of the versatility of the processes.
Printmaking in various forms is perhaps over 1,500 years old and found particular favor in the West during the Renaissance. Today, these forms present unparalleled opportunities for expression in a wide range of techniques.
Personal means of creative expression, such as drawing and painting, are encouraged to create the print images when appropriate, and you will nurture and develop these alongside contemporary options, including photographic and digital resources.
You will go beyond mere technical proficiency and learn how to use the processes effectively to express innovative and personal ideas.
