Our society has an ever-increasing interest in the greater world outside of our homes. Global tourism continues to grow, which means the industry needs professionals with an intimate understanding of the people, places, cultures, landscapes—everything that links human beings with their environments.
Our travel and tourism program will prepare you to meet this demand all while giving you a chance to see the world for yourself.
And by being a part of the Department of Geography, you’ll gain a much richer understand and context of this profession beyond the business itself.
What You Will Learn
Our program prepares you for a variety of career choices within the travel and tourism industry. The curriculum focuses on tours, meeting planning and programming, as well as tourism promotion and regional development.
