Ball State’s major in Spanish will prepare you to navigate a national and international economy that is increasingly filled with and dependent upon the Spanish language.
How important is the Spanish language to the modern world? In a word, enormous.
Worldwide, more than 425 million Spanish speakers live in nearly two dozen countries. Domestically, employers increasingly demand professionals with fluency in both Spanish and English. Some companies in the United States pay bonuses to prospective employees who can speak Spanish. You can be one of those to be offered a job or receive a bonus by majoring in Spanish.
