Passionate about handing down your love of science to younger generations? Our teaching major in life science prepares you to teach at the middle school level (grades five through eight) as a science generalist with a life science concentration or at the high school level (grades nine through 12) as a science specialist.
What You Will Learn
Our program will qualify you to teach your choice of science subject matter in middle school, high school, or both in the state of Indiana.
Science teachers can be licensed in five separate areas:
life science physical science earth-space science chemistry physics
Program Requirements
As our student, you will take a combination of content courses in biology, chemistry, and other sciences along with courses in teaching from the Teachers College.
