The Master of Science in Natural Sciences is an interdisciplinary degree program offered through the College of Sciences and Mathematics. Either a thesis or a non-thesis option may be pursued in earning the degree. Upon entering the program, graduate students will be assigned to a graduate faculty committee to design a degree plan and to over see their specific program of study, including development and administration of pertinent culminating projects and examinations.
The M.S.N.S. with a concentration in geology consists of 36 semester hours of graduate courses without a thesis or 24 semester hours of graduate courses plus six hours of thesis research and writing (GOL 589 and GOL 590). Students wishing to pursue this degree must have a background in geology.

為來自中國的學生設計 To apply for a master’s degree program at SFA, you must meet one of the following requirements: Be in your final year of undergraduate work; Hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Generally, all applicants must have an overall undergraduate grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and a 2.8 on the last 60 hours of undergraduate work. English Language Scores: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score - 79 IBT (Internet-Based) and 550 PBT (Paper-Based); International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score - Overall band 6.5; Pearson Test of English (PTE) score – 53.
