The School of Art graduate filmmaking program is inherently interdisciplinary and is designed to provide advanced studies for film students seeking the Master of Fine Arts. The mission of the M.F.A. program is to develop filmmakers who may obtain professional status in the independent media, industrial media, entertainment industry or academic communities. The program also encourages work that is aesthetically challenging and seeks to develop filmmakers who will express a personal voice through their work.
Specialized areas of filmmaking, such as cinematography, screenwriting, production design and audio, may be chosen in consultation with the graduate film program advisor, who will recommend specific courses.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 To apply for a master’s degree program at SFA, you must meet one of the following requirements: Be in your final year of undergraduate work; Hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Generally, all applicants must have an overall undergraduate grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and a 2.8 on the last 60 hours of undergraduate work. English Language Scores: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score - 79 IBT (Internet-Based) and 550 PBT (Paper-Based); International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score - Overall band 6.5; Pearson Test of English (PTE) score – 53.
