This accredited program is designed to prepare graduates for both technological and managerial responsibilities in industry. The computer and electronics engineering technologist can provide direct technical assistance to scientists and engineers.
Hands-on education coupled with strong analysis and design sets apart the Electronics Engineering Technology program. Graduates gain skills to analyze, design, apply, and troubleshoot systems with electronic, digital, analog, microcontroller, software, and mechanical components. The combination of practical and theoretical education leads to graduates with agile technical skills throughout a wide range of applications.
Career Paths
EGT graduates from NKU enjoy a near 95% job placement rate and are hired as:
- product design engineers
- manufacturing process engineers
- quality engineers
- sales engineers
Co-Op Opportunities
The Engineering Technology programs are supported by local industry, who provide most of our students with co-op opportunities at the start of their second year. These typically lead to an offer of full-time employment.

English language requirement: TOEFL (iBT): Composite score of at least 79, with a minimum of 14 in reading, TOEFL (PBT): Composite score of at least 550, with a minimum of 48 in reading, IELTS: Composite score of at least 6.5, with a minimum of a 5.5 in Reading and 5 in Writing, Pearson PTE: Composite score of at least 55.
