Our highly interactive program offers a wide range of study options dealing with contemporary biophysics, cancer, cell biology, chemical biology, immunology, insect biochemistry, microbiology, pharmacology and plant biology.
Our students pursue a rigorous training program with diverse research opportunities using state-of-the-art facilities and equipment. A shared first year curriculum and series of lab rotations introduce students to the full range of the molecular biosciences research community.
The degree is excellent preparation for careers in biological and biomedical research, and biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
Students who seek admission to the program should have completed the following course requirements: 8 credits of both organic chemistry and biology, 6 credits of physics and 4 credits of calculus. If a student is admitted with a deficiency in these courses, the required courses must be completed during the first year of graduate study.
Student Learning Outcomes
The Molecular Biosciences graduate programs at the University of Nevada at Reno provide an integrated course of study for students seeking a PhD or MS degree in biomolecular-related research. Over 60 participating Faculty members are drawn from nine different departments. The program provides a supportive environment for over 100 graduate students with excellent opportunities in a broad range of biological and biomedical research areas.

為來自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent from an accredited institution. Eligibility for admission with a 3-year bachelor's degree are determined on a case by case basis. Minimum grade point average (on a 4.0 scale): 2.75 for a master’s degree. TOEFL: 550 (paper) or 79 (internet), IELTS: 6.5 (academic version).
