The Secondary Education Program is committed to preparing teachers who are able to meet the challenges of today's classrooms. The teacher education faculty provides an educational program that enables students to develop a strong foundation of knowledge about teaching and learning; display a love of learning; value democracy and pluralism; and engage in reflective practice about one's growth as a teacher.
To accomplish this, the program offers students a strong liberal arts education with emphasis in the particular academic discipline in which the student will be teaching. The Secondary Education program leads to a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in the College of Education (120 undergraduate credits). Students have the option of combining this with a degree in their content area-sometimes requiring no increase in the total credits required.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) To be admitted to an undergraduate degree program as a regular freshman student, you must be a graduate from an approved or accredited high school (GED certificate may not be used for admission). Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 61 (iBT-Internet-Based Test) or 500 (Paper-Based Test), International English Language Testing System (IELTS - must be academic version) with an equivalency score of 6. Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic with an equivalency score of 57.
