The mission of the program in English is to serve both non-specialists and students planning to do graduate work in English by promoting clear writing and critical reading of English, American, and world literature. The program prepares students for careers in teaching as well as literary and linguistic scholarship; it also provides background for such professions as the ministry, journalism, editing, technical or creative writing, counseling, advertising, sales, and law.
Learning Goals
Our graduates will communicate effectively. Our graduates understand the diversity reflected in literature. Our graduates can analyze and evaluate competing arguments and interpretations. Our graduates can conduct literature searched to access and synthesize information. Our graduates have knowledge of linguistics and literature.

為來自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Students must have official transcripts listing courses, examinations, grades, and marks from your high school or college/university. A score of 500 or higher on the written TOEFL, A score of 173 or higher on the computerized TOEFL, A score of 61 or higher on the internet-based TOEFL, A score of Band 5.5 (overall) on the IELTS (International English Language Testing System).
