Examine Ways to Predict, Deter and Prevent Criminal Behavior
Focus on real-world applications in the criminal justice system and study the nature, extent, causes, management, control, consequences and prevention of criminal behavior as it applies to individuals and society by obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Criminology in University of Houston-Clear Lake's College of Human Sciences and Humanities. Classes on the death penalty, juvenile delinquency, organized crime and other topics related to criminal justice help train graduates for successful careers in all facets of the criminal justice system or to advance their current career path.
Build a Solid Career in the Criminal Justice Field
Criminal Justice and Criminology B.S. graduates are prepared with the necessary knowledge, skills, and insight to begin careers in public, private, or juvenile justice, or victims’ service agencies. Job opportunities include a variety of law enforcement agencies that will allow graduates to develop behavior profiles of certain types of criminals, gather statistics on crime rates, and analyze the criminal justice system and its processes.
