Help Make Tomorrow Greener
Learn to manage the world’s natural resources and take your environmental management education into the government, industry and nonprofit world. Learn about environmental law, permitting and air/waste/water management, while focusing on the intricacies of pollution control and environmental assessment.
Connecting input from top leaders in private industry, government and nonprofit organizations, the program shows students how to make educated business decisions and establish effective management strategies. The objective of the plan is to prepare students for positions involving the management of natural resources in a variety of public and private settings.
UHCL is Ideal for Environmental Management
Few metro areas in the country offer a better perspective for environmental management studies than the thriving Houston-Galveston area. Located near a diverse industry base and multiple ports, UHCL can offer the hands-on learning experience you need to succeed. Gain practical knowledge through community outreach projects, internships and field research provided by the university’s Environmental Institute of Houston. As a UHCL student, you will also have access to professional development through the Texas Association of Environmental Professionals and other organizations.

Proof of English Language Proficiency: Your minimum scores must be: 550 on the paper-based TOEFL exam; 79 on the TOEFL (iBT) exam; 6.0 on the IELTS exam, 53 on the PTE exam; or, you can successfully complete level 112 in the ELS Intensive English Language program.
