The Right Balance of Core and Applied Courses
With a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematical Sciences degree from University of Houston-Clear Lake, you’ll be prepared for a career in either education or an array of industries. You’ll explore the classical foundations of mathematics while considering the modern implications of numeric for computer technology. This degree plan can also be the basis for preparation for a graduate degree in mathematics, statistics, operations research, or other math-based disciplines.
Preparation for a Variety of Careers
Many students pursue a career in education upon completing their degree, but you’ll have many other career options open to you in which your strong mathematical background will come into play. These include software engineer, actuary, computer systems analyst, computer programmer and mathematician. Women and minorities tend to be under-represented in careers that require a degree in mathematical sciences, so employers are particularly eager to seek out qualified candidates to rectify those imbalances.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Applicants who have attended an institution located outside the United States must: Possess the equivalent of a U.S. high school/secondary diploma. Proof of English Language Proficiency: Your minimum scores must be: 550 on the paper-based TOEFL exam; 79 on the TOEFL (iBT) exam; 6.0 on the IELTS exam, 53 on the PTE exam; or, you can successfully complete level 112 in the ELS Intensive English Language program.
