This program aims to develop specific skills, especially those related to the quantitative and qualitative research processes, computer analysis, and report/proposal preparation. Completion of the MA in Sociology will prepare graduates for positions in public or private agencies and give thorough preparation for teaching and for advanced study at the doctoral level. The course of study includes training in general sociological theory, social research methods, statistics, and professional writing. Additional academic training is provided in substantive areas as well as through directed study.
Joint Undergraduate Master's Program (JUMP)
This degree offers a Joint Undergraduate Master's Program (JUMP) which provides academically outstanding students the opportunity to complete both an undergraduate and graduate degree in approximately five years.

為來自中國的學生設(shè)計 Applicants must have completed a U.S. baccalaureate degree or higher, or equivalent international degree, from an accredited institution, Baccalaureate degree cumulative GPA (Grade Point Average) of 2.75 or greater on a 4.0 scale. English Language Requirements: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) minimum score of 79 (internet-based) or 550 (paper-based); International English Language Testing System (IELTS) minimum score of 6.5; successful completion of the English Language Services Program at Level 112; or successful completion of English as a Second Language International (ESLI) at WKU.
