The major in Economics requires 34 hours and leads to a Bachelor of Arts degree. Students in this major are required to pursue a second major or a minor. This major is very flexible and pairs well with many other majors and minors on campus.
To earn a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, students must complete the following courses:
ECONOMICS MAJOR COURSES (22 hours)
- ECON 302 Microeconomic Theory
- ECON 303 Macroeconomic Theory
- ECON 465 or ECON 480 Regression and Econometric Analysis or Economic Forecasting
- Four ECON electives
- 300- and 400-level ECON courses not already required for the major.
- Some courses may count as Colonnade Connections courses
- ECON 499 Senior Assessment (1 hour)
