The Master of Arts in Education (Curriculum & Instruction) is intended for teachers in schools and other educational organizations. With an emphasis on classroom-based research, the program focuses on real-world, hands-on issues that instructors face on a daily basis. Educators will learn to develop and enhance expertise in their particular field of interest related to K-12, after-school, or adult education.
The Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) program is designed for busy professionals and is offered **** online. Program coursework will explore critical intellectual questions of contemporary education that are not only of interest to our teacher-leaders, but also children and families in their communities.
This program is offered in a condensed format of fall, spring and summer semesters in an online format. The program can be completed in one year if 6 units from BTSA/Induction and/or other approved electives are transferred.
Each course produces an ideal blend of theory, research and practice in one’s own classroom (or in a pre-approved educational setting) along with a culminating experience that is grounded in action research and project based learning. It is essential that students in the program have access to a classroom setting during fall and spring semesters.
While fully online, courses are approximately 25% synchronous (in real time) and 75% asynchronous (on your own schedule within a given time frame).

為來自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Applicants must possess the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor degree to apply for a graduate program. English Proficiency Exam (only one of the following is required): TOEFL: minimum 80 ibt or 550 pbt; IELTS: minimum 6.5; and PTE Academic: minimum 65.
