The dual baccalaureate and master’s program in government and politics is designed to provide highly-motivated students with the opportunity to complete their undergraduate and graduate degrees in five years of full-time study.
Students in the program may elect a thesis or non-thesis option. Those in the thesis track matriculate for a total of 144 credits (33 on the graduate level), including six credits of GOV 900 (Master’s Research). Those electing the non-thesis option complete a total of 144 credits (33 on the graduate level), including six credits of graduate departmental coursework in lieu of GOV 900.
After completion of the requirements for the B.A., students enroll full time in graduate courses for the fifth year of the combined degree program. For specific requirements, please contact the department chair.
