在這里學什么？

The MSHROD curriculum is designed to prepare students to understand and apply new techniques for greater organizational effectiveness. The program may be pursued on a full- or part-time basis. Classes are held in the evenings at the College of Business, online or in hybrid format.

Program Information

Under the award-winning MSHROD program, you can undertake a traditional, two-year master’s degree in human resources or one of three different graduate certificates. Via an agreement with Western Michigan University’s Cooley Law School, there is also the opportunity for future attorneys to earn a master’s degree in human resources and organizational development at EMU.

Program Goals

Identify, plan, implement, and manage change as staff professionals or managers or external consultants Match organizational and human resource needs and implement systems related to structure, process, and most important, the people in organizations Link human resource management and organizational development by implementing processes to improve organizational effectiveness

Curriculum

For the traditional MSHROD program, you'll take a total of 42 credits of courses, between the 12 prerequisite and foundation credits and the 30 credits for the degree. Most students are able to finish the degree in two years.

Objectives

To prepare professionals who understand and apply human resource and organizational development techniques in ways that lead to greater organizational effectiveness. To prepare professionals who understand and are able to plan, implement and manage change processes, whether in positions internal to an organization (managerial or staff support) or as external consultants. To prepare professionals who understand the need to match organizational needs with human resource needs and are able to implement appropriate systems related to structure, process, and human resources.

Graduates of the program have been employed in such diverse occupations as:

Quality service specialist for Bank of America Assistant personnel director for the Department of Agriculture Quality planning manager for Wyandotte Medical Center Training and educational coordinator for Ford Motor Company HR planning and development for McAuley Health Services Own consulting businesses or are internal change agents in organizations.
