A Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation will enable you to provide life-transforming health-care that uses individual activity interests to achieve treatment goals and long-term wellness.
Learn
Our faculty, many who are practitioners, will invest personal, individualized attention to you in your academic journey. We have a hands-on curriculum that is supplemented by many health care organizations in the immediate vicinity. We offer opportunities for students to partner with faculty who are actively involved in local and international research. We have affiliations with a vast array of local clinics for practicums to get you trained, connected, and working!
Opportunities
Graduates from our program will have met the requirements to sit for the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Certification exam. Once certified, our alumni qualify to work in a wide array of healthcare settings as a recreation therapist. Recent graduates have found employment in rehabilitation, mental health, long-term care and community-based settings among many others.
