The MSc in Audio Technology is aimed at graduates from Music Technology, Sound Production, Creative Computing and Interactive Media courses, as well as anyone already working in industry or music technology education.
MSc Audio Technology offers a distinctive mixture of music production, music computing and creativity. Taught by a dedicated team of experts, the course will help you to participate in industry and provide grounding to shape future developments in audio technology.
You will gain a thorough understanding of theory and practical techniques in studio recording and mixing/mastering, audio programming, musical interface development and. These skills have helped prepare our previous graduates for a diverse range of subsequent routes including employment in industry and Higher Education, freelance employment, starting a business and doctoral study.
What happens on the course?
Aiming to prepare you for employment in the music technology and digital creative industries, or for doctoral study, the MSc Audio Technology enables you to develop your focus across an innovative series of taught modules, before undertaking a substantial, self-directed final project.
A distinctive feature of the course is the freedom to explore your particular interests: you might focus primarily on studio production (record production, sound and music for screen) or on music computing (audio programming, generative music, musical interfaces, digital musical instruments), or a mixture of the two areas.
Alongside diverse lectures, workshops and tutorials, your studies will benefit from the use of our Performance Hub, with facilities including two SSL-equipped recording studios and a dedicated listening room.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Students who have completed a 4 year Bachelor degree from a NARIC or government recognised institution and can provide both a bachelor degree certificate and graduation certificate are eligible for entrance onto Master’s degrees: A score of 75% is considered comparable to a UK 2:1; A score of 65% is considered comparable to a UK 2:2; A score of less than 65% is considered comparable to a UK 3 and would require the completion of a pre-masters course. English language requirements vary by course and department but the standard University requirement is 6.0 with 5.5 in every component in IELTS or the same scores in the University’s own entry test, the Wolverhampton English Proficiency Examination (WEPE).
