Why choose this course?
This two year part-time course is delivered fully online via the University of Wolverhampton’s virtual learning environment CANVAS. Students will complete six taught modules and a small-scale independent research project. The course is designed for graduates who have little or no English language teaching experience.
What happens on the course?
You will gain an understanding of the English language system and develop teaching skills and course and materials design skills. You will also apply your understanding of the English language system and your teaching, course and materials design skills in more specialised areas of TESOL, including English for Professional and Academic Purposes. The use of digital technologies in English language teaching and learning will also be explored.
Potential Career Paths
On graduation, you will be able to pursue a career path in English language teaching in a variety of educational contexts. Completing an independent TESOL research project will enable you to develop the skills necessary for planning and managing your own TESOL professional development, including study at PhD level.

為來自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Students who have completed a 4 year Bachelor degree from a NARIC or government recognised institution and can provide both a bachelor degree certificate and graduation certificate are eligible for entrance onto Master’s degrees: A score of 75% is considered comparable to a UK 2:1; A score of 65% is considered comparable to a UK 2:2; A score of less than 65% is considered comparable to a UK 3 and would require the completion of a pre-masters course. English language requirements vary by course and department but the standard University requirement is 6.0 with 5.5 in every component in IELTS or the same scores in the University’s own entry test, the Wolverhampton English Proficiency Examination (WEPE).
