Sport Performance Coaching is the study of enhancing sport performance through coaching, training principles, exercise prescription, and physiological testing. You will learn how to design and coach training programs that targets strength, speed, hypertrophy, muscular endurance, and aerobic and anaerobic energy pathways. Learn the principles of sport coaching, including how to administer and interpret tests of athleticism. You can also explore other interests to complement sport performance-like skill acquisition, biomechanics or psychology.
What you will study
The program will provide you with the theoretical and practical knowledge, skills and industry contacts required to enter a sports-related field of employment. Topics cover areas such as resistance training, sports performance testing, psychology, coaching science, and physical education.
