專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么?
Neuroscience is one of the fastest growing areas of study in human physiology. Graduates of this program will have been given the opportunity to understand how the brain works to maintain human behavior, what may go wrong in those neurobiological processes, and the ways that research and remediation may be undertaken within multi-disciplinary settings.
Graduates of the Master of Neuroscience may apply for admission to research higher degrees and other doctoral programs.
Career Opportunities
Neuroscientist in research or clinical settings.
Course Aims
The Master of Neuroscience aims to provide students with the opportunity to study Neuroscience from a research or clinical perspective. The Master of Neuroscience will produce graduates with specialized knowledge of the specific neurobiological processes that underlie a range of behavior.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- demonstrate, through their own study and practice, advanced knowledge of neuroanatohandbook, cellular function within the brain, and how these may impinge upon a range of human behavior;
- Utilize cognitive and communication skills, tools and digital technologies to communicate appropriately and persuasively with a range of researchers and clinicians working in a multidisciplinary team related to neuroscience;
- Demonstrate a well-developed ability to use creativity and judgment in analyzing neurobiological processes as they relate to human behavior and to focus those abilities to everyday issues in neuroscience;
- demonstrate advanced skills analyzing information and evaluating evidence based practice/research drawn from a range of sources, reports, organizations and data sets;
- Demonstrate and apply an advanced ability to critically evaluate and formulate proposals for undertaking research and/or conducting clinical assessments of neurological processes; and
- Demonstrate a preparedness to pursue a specialized knowledge and understanding to enhance professional skills and research and/or clinical outcomes in the general field of neuroscience.
