Studying the combined Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Economics gives you more career flexibility and choices when you graduate, as well as the opportunity to explore a range of subjects in-depth.
In this combined degree, you complete a set of core units in economics, accounting, marketing and organisational behaviour, then choose two majors to complete (one from the Bachelor of Business component, one from the Bachelor of Economics component).
Business majors: Accounting, Agribusiness, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Human Resource Management, International Business, Management and Marketing.
Economics majors: Applied Econometrics, Economics, Economic Development, Environmental Analysis and Policy.
Combined degrees are structured to enable you to graduate in a much shorter time than it would take to complete the two degrees individually. Each degree on its own is 3 years full-time study, but this combined degree is just 4 years full-time.
Career Opportunities
Graduates will have the knowledge and skills to pursue a wide range of career paths, including positions in business management; accounting and finance; public services as policy officers, analysts, economic modellers, advisers, trade and industry officers; private-sector positions in financial management, forecasting, banking, insurance and agribusiness firms; business consulting; commodities or futures trader; importer/exporter; international positions with agencies such as the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and the United Nations.
Course Aims
BBus component:
The Bachelor of Business aims to create contemporary professionals with a solid grounding in the core business fields of accounting, economics, business ethics, management and marketing needed for organisational survival and success. The course will prepare students to take on a role as a future manager with leadership responsibilities for creating a more inclusive and sustainable global economy.
BEc component:
The Bachelor of Economics aims to produce professional graduates with the knowledge, skills and attributes required for problem solving and economic decision making across a diverse range of economic issues. This degree provides students with a strong economic and quantitative background that allows them to explore a variety of professional career options.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
BBus students: demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of business and management theory and processes and their application to real-world business contexts, including an opportunity to complete a capstone experience, and to promote sustainable business in a globalised economy;
utilise cognitive and communication skills, tools and digital technologies to communicate appropriately and persuasively with a range of stakeholders;
apply critical and creative thinking to analyse complex real-world business problems and synthesise materials from a variety of sources in identifying solutions;
identify relevant information drawn from a range of sources in order to analyse data and complex business-related issues;
evaluate and demonstrate judgement in formulating responses to complex, social, cultural and ethical issues;

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) For direct admission into undergraduate courses offered by UNE you must have completed an educational qualification considered to be at least equivalent to completion of Year 12 in Australia. Successful completion of a recognised pre-tertiary or foundation program. English language requirements: An International English Language Testing System (IELTS) academic overall score of at least 6.0, with no sub-band less than 5.5. A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of at least 213 in the computer-based test OR at least 79 in the internet-based test. You must receive a rating of no less than 22 in the written component. A Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE) minimum overall score of 57 with no skill less than 50.
