The Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics equips students with a variety of skills sought by employers, including conceptualizing and solving problems and locating, organizing and analyzing relevant data. In their junior year, students learn microeconomic and macroeconomic theory and take an econometrics class to learn data analysis skills. Students then take a series of electives that deal with vital current topics relevant to many careers in which these theories and skills are applied, such as the financial and banking system, economic relations between the United States and foreign countries; government spending and taxation policies; the United States’ health system and policy options. In their senior year, students take a capstone course that utilizes and applies the theory, skills and institutional knowledge learned in the program.
In addition to the B.A. degree in the College of Arts and Sciences, a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Economics is offered in the College of Business Administration. In both programs, students have the opportunity to declared the combined bachelor's/master's program with the Master of Business Administration degree. To be eligible for admission to the combined program, students must have earned 90 credit hours. In addition, they must meet the GPA requirement of either minimum 3.300 GPA after 90 credit hours or minimum 3.200 GPA after 105 credit hours.

Graduates of this program will be able to:
- Conceptualize and analyze problems using economic concepts and reasoning.
- Critically analyze alternative economic policy proposals.
- Use analytic and quantitative techniques that are used extensively in economics to formulate and test hypothesis.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) New freshmen applicants must finish secondary school in their home country by the time of enrollment to be eligible for university (comparable to the completion of senior high school in the U.S.). Freshmen should meet the minimum requirement of GPA 2.5 on a U.S. 4.0 scale. Applicants must obtain a minimum score of TOEFL Paper Based Test is 525 (71 on the Internet based version), the minimum score of MELAB is 75 or IELTS minimum score of 6.0 and the minimum score of PTE academic is 48.
