Ideal for professionals seeking teaching positions at private, community, or teachers’ colleges, as well as for certified teachers seeking additional course work in preparation for doctoral study, this non-certification degree helps you develop teaching and learning methods in literature, writing, and the language arts, tailoring your degree to fit your professional needs and interests.
You will work closely with our nationally recognized faculty members to learn:
- How to develop curricula for college-level learners
- A mastery of language, composition, and literature while becoming skilled in reflective teaching
- Strategies for adapting English instruction and negotiating the curriculum to meet the needs of your students
- Pedagogical theories and research methods in education
