在這里學(xué)什么？ By studying biochemistry in the context of medical science, you will learn how biochemical research has been applied to tackle the world’s most pressing health issues. On the MBiolSci, you will hone your research and laboratory skills and extend your medically specialised BSc programme into a fourth year of masters level study.Having chosen and completed a specialised route through one of our BSc in Medical Sciences programmes you have the opportunity continue into a fourth year of masters level study.Each of the integrated masters years allows you to focus on refining your research and laboratory skills in your subject of interest and gives you the opportunity to practice the transferable employability skills learned in your first three years. The choice of integrated masters years includes specialisms in: Molecular Genetics, Cancer Cell Biology, Cancer Molecular Pathology and Therapeutics, Infection and Immunity, Chronic Disease and Inflammation and Research Methods in Neuroscience/Animal Behaviour.The analytical and critical skills you acquire by studying an integrated masters in Medical Sciences are particularly valued by PhD supervisors, researchers and employers in non-scientific fields.At the University of Leicester, you can apply for this degree in Medical Biochemistry or any of the three degrees listed below.Whichever degree you choose, your first year will be the same, allowing you to transfer to a different degree stream. The modules taken in your second and final years will ensure you graduate in your chosen degree.The other available specialisms are: Medical Genetics Medical Microbiology Medical PhysiologyOur four Medical Sciences degrees allow selection of specialist modules that focus more closely on the application of biological principles to medicine. Our seven Biological Sciences degree programmes cover major aspects of biology and molecular sciences across a wide range of organisms from bacteria and fungi to humans and plants.There is the possibility of transferring across from our Medical Sciences degrees to our Biological Sciences degrees within the first semester of Year 1.
