Designed for students seeking intensive study with a major artist-teacher and performance experience to develop into a highly qualified, professional conductor. Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in music or its equivalent.
Curriculum
The Master of Music in Conducting: Choral requires a minimum of 32 credits. Coursework to include:
Choral Conducting Performance Orchestral Conducting Seminar Aural Skills for Conductors Music Theory Musicology Ensemble participation SMTD electives
Final Project
A presentation of a final conducting project consisting of two or more conducting appearances, one of which must be with an SMTD major ensemble.

為來自中國的學生設計 Applicants must complete a bachelor’s degree from a U.S. college or university accredited by a regional accrediting association; or Complete an international degree that is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree from a college or university recognized and approved by the Ministry of Education or Commission responsible for higher education in the country where the degree is earned. Other English Language Requirements: Paper/Pencil TOEFL & TWE score of 560; MELAB score of 80.
