Why Our Program?
This program prepares students to collaborate on diverse teams of educational professionals and to transform education within new domains of practice arising from political, policy, and social pressures. Our blended program exploits the power of the Internet as a complement to traditional face-to-face learning. Students will experience an interdisciplinary, boundary-spanning program that brings together teachers, educational leaders, reformers, and others to develop shared capabilities for practice.
Students will also benefit from the flexibility of completing the campus-based portion of the MA in less time. Both full-time and part-time students will receive 12 credits toward their degree for their online MicroMasters work. Students will complete the remaining 18 credit hours of coursework on campus. Full-time students can complete the program with two nine-credit hour semesters.
Our program prepares students to:
demonstrate their understanding, knowledge, and capabilities for leading educational innovation and improvement; participate in ambitious, collaborative problem-solving contexts; create organizational cultures that support continuous improvement efforts in and across schools and districts; and work to solve educational inequities using a systems approach.
