The department provides an unequalled opportunity for singers to discover, explore, and develop their passions. They receive a full-faceted education featuring individual training with a distinguished resident faculty, the flexibility to explore a wide range of musical traditions, ample performance opportunities, and a curriculum designed for the 21st century marketplace.
Designed for students who wish to prepare for a career on the concert stage, in church solo work, radio, television, and teaching. Those who wish to teach in elementary or secondary schools should pursue a curriculum within the Department of Music Education.
Curriculum
The Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance requires a minimum of 124 credits: coursework is 75% within SMTD and 25% within the liberal arts. SMTD coursework to include:

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Other English Language Requirements: MELAB (plus speaking): 85 range with section scores 80+ and 3+ in speaking; TOEFL (PBT): 600 range with section scores 57+; ECPE: Certificate with all sections at least a C; CAE or CPE: 185 with no less than 180+ in all sections (CEFR C1);PTE Academic: 68 with all sections equally strong.
