The Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Environmental Engineering (BSE EnvE) program is dedicated to producing tomorrow’s leaders – those who will help society meet the challenges of global resource limitations and human environmental impacts. With a BSE EnvE, students are prepared for a career position in engineering consulting, government agencies, humanitarian organizations and much more. Environmental engineering is predicted to have one of the highest growth rates among all engineering disciplines in a few years. “Environmental engineering, in addition to being a rapidly developing field, also delivers the perfect balance of a technical degree with practical applications,” Environmental Engineering. This fairly new program gives students an opportunity to focus on sustainable infrastructure systems – such as water, sanitation and air quality- that protect human health and natural resources for current and coming generations. “I’d always known I wanted to study something related to the environment and sustainability, and work in a field where I could have positive and tangible impacts on the ecological and human systems around me,” Environmental Engineering Student Diana Bach says.

The following set of objectives is consistent with ABET accreditation criteria and describes what our graduates are expected to achieve within several years of graduation:
The graduates of the Environmental Engineering Program at Michigan will have the necessary intellectual tools and technical skills to take on careers of leadership in the development of new technologies for environmental protection and the design of sustainable modern environmental infrastructure, analysis of natural and engineered environmental systems and to contribute to society through participation in policy making and governance. Graduates will have a solid foundation in environmental engineering and achieve success in graduate education and a broad range of career opportunities. Our graduates will become team leaders and have the critical thinking skills to successfully address open-ended problems. U-M Environmental Engineering graduates will become effective communicators of technical and professional information in written, oral, visual, and graphical form. Professional careers of U-M graduates will be distinguished with a high degree of awareness of moral, ethical, legal and professional obligations to protect human health, human welfare and the environment.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Other English Language Requirements: MELAB (plus speaking): 85 range with section scores 80+ and 3+ in speaking; TOEFL (PBT): 600 range with section scores 57+; ECPE: Certificate with all sections at least a C; CAE or CPE: 185 with no less than 180+ in all sections (CEFR C1);PTE Academic: 68 with all sections equally strong.
