專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么？ The agricultural sector faces a number of significant challenges in the future from climate change to floods and droughts, an ever-increasing world population and changes in European policies. All of these factors contribute to a sector that needs graduates who possess well developed business skills combined with a thorough understanding of the agricultural business sector to respond to these constraints. These courses cover a range of both agricultural and business subjects that will enable students to understand the agri-business sector. Students will develop a range of skills to work independently and to demonstrate competence and attitudes required in a professional working life. The course will prepare students for a graduate career in the agri-supply chain and also the opportunity to transfer to a BSc (Hons).Students who undertake the BSc degree (also referred to as an Ordinary degree) will typically complete their award in four years (including an industrial placement year), with successful completion of the award graded as either a pass (with commendation) or pass. The main difference between this and a BSc (Hons) degree, is the reduced volume of study and assessment required by the BSc degree. The BSc degree and the BSc (Hons) degree share a common first year, which provides an opportunity for transfer between the two degree types subject to academic performance.4 years (full-time) including a one-year work placement.
