UMSL Cyber Start Grant for Fall 2020 - Under this scheme, F1 international students who are unable to report to campus this fall due to COVID19 are able to pay a reduced rate of tuition. ? This will only be for the Fall 2020 semester as the students should be on campus in Spring 2021 paying regular rates. ? Any UMSL Global scholarship awarded for Fall 2020 would be deferred until Spring 2021. ? Students must be enrolled in a degree program conducive to online learning.
Course Requirements:
Majors complete at least 39, but not more than 45, hours in 1000-4000 level history courses with no grade below C-. 1000 level courses usually provide broad surveys, while 2000 and 3000 level courses offer in-depth historical content on a particular topic. 4000 level courses are designed primarily for majors and focus on developing historical research, writing, and thinking skills.
Learning Outcomes
Graduates of this program will be able to:
- Build historical knowledge
- Develop research methods
- Recognize that Historical knowledge is complex, sometimes ambiguous, and subject to ongoing reexamination
- Apply the range of historical thinking skills to evidence that is often incomplete, complex, and contradictory
- Create historical arguments and narratives and effectively communicate them
- Use historical perspective as central to active citizenship

Students who have completed high school must submit final transcripts and degree certificates or exam results. Students who have studied at a college or university must submit university transcripts to date. If you have completed more than 24 credit hours at a university, you do not need to submit high school transcripts. Transcripts are required from all high schools or universities attended. Proof of English proficiency: Minimum requirements are 61 TOEFL, 5.5 IELTS, or 44 PTE-A, 85-90 Duolingo.
