The Master of Science in Gerontology trains professionals for leading roles to meet the needs of America’s growing elderly population. We graduate students who understand the basic processes of aging, apply theoretical approaches to aging to their particular fields and circumstances, and can evaluate information about older adults from various sources and perspectives.
UNCG’s online Master of Science in Gerontology takes an applied, interdisciplinary approach to the study of aging. The program’s mission is to teach, research, and apply knowledge through collaborative relationships with academic departments, community organizations, and businesses to enrich the lives of older adults and their families.

Non-native speakers of English must validate proficiency in the English language by one of three means: TOEFL: 79 (paper-based 550); IELTS: 6.5 Band Score; PTE: 67; and ELS: 112.
